Due to the unprecedented situation surrounding the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), we wanted to make you aware that the Public Health Officer of the State of California issued a Regional Stay at Home Order on December 3, 2020 (“Order”), which provides for certain criteria that, when met for a specific region of California (“Region”), implements prohibitions of the Order for that Region. The Order, among other things, prohibits most travel in a Region in which the criteria have been met, with very limited exceptions.
As of Wednesday, December 9, 2020, the Region that Marriott Grand Residence Club®, Lake Tahoe is located in met the criteria for travel limitations to be enacted. At this time, it is anticipated that the Order and its related travel limitations will remain in place in the Region in which the resort is located through, at a minimum, late-January 2021, although it may be in place longer. As this is a rapidly evolving situation that may impact your upcoming reservation at the resort, we encourage you to regularly visit the California COVID-19 website and other official state and local government websites to obtain the most current information regarding the status of the Order. Additionally, you can visit our COVID-19 Hub website for updates regarding the status of the Order and any impacts on the resort as well as links to official local and state websites to obtain additional information.

Please note that Owners and guests traveling to the resort will be required to complete an acknowledgment upon arrival to the resort certifying that their stay at the resort is in compliance with the Order. The resort will not be able to honor the reservation of an Owner or guest who does not meet the permitted stay requirements of the Order.
In addition to the travel restrictions under the Order, please note that the Order generally only permits individuals living/staying in the Region to conduct activities associated with the operation, maintenance, or usage of critical infrastructure, as required by law, or as specifically permitted by the Order (such as engaging in permitted outdoor exercise, outdoor worship and political expression, as further outlined in the Order). As a result of these restrictions under the Order and in an effort to mitigate the impact of COVID-19, we wanted to make you aware that it is anticipated that there may be limited amenities open at Marriott Grand Residence Club, Lake Tahoe and the resort may only be providing limited services, if any, through at least late-January 2021 (subject to change).
If your upcoming reservation at the resort is not a permitted stay under the Order (as noted above), we ask that you visit the Marriott Vacation Club® website to cancel your reservation or make other expedient changes to your reservation. There, you’ll also find the most current information regarding the status of resorts and cancellation policies.
